My 15 Minutes of Fame!

Check out my 15 minuets of fame on That's Life with Robin Swoboda. I talked about my metal and my other internet adventures.

Here is how it all went down!

I met Robin this past fall at a marketplace that I had a small store in... She wanted to interview me then, but I was leaving the market because my online busy season was coming up. I talked to her, her producer and the camera guy for about 15 minutes, and that was the end of it.... Then the producer from the show emailed me and said they wanted to do a spot on me and my work.... So they came to my house and filmed the interview. They also got a bunch of footage of me welding and working on some projects! After they left my wife called the local newspaper and they are printing a story in the next few days on the show!

Here are some pics from the filming of the show! They came out to my house and filmed me working and filmed some of my finished products!

Singer Series Necklace Number 67

The Singer Series is a special series made from recycled vintage Singer sewing machines. In this series, you will find jewelry and sculptures. In the Singer Series I am trying to capture the character and style that these vintage machines have.

The number 67 necklace is carefully cut from a decorative plate on a vintage singer sewing machine. This is 100% unique...there will not be another necklace made like the number 67 necklace. Number 67 is clear-coated for protection and shine.

After the camera crew left on Monday we called the local papers, and on Thursday a reporter and photographer came out to our house...... Here is the result!

Local Paper Front Page!

More exposure this week!
After the interview with the tv show... we called the local papers and all of them were interested in the story. The Louisville Herald put me on the front page... Today we have an interview with another paper and in the the Friday edition of the major paper, there will be a spot about me being on the show in the entertainment section!

Look for Fiddleheads

Two weeks ago I recieved an email
from Lee from LookForFiddleheads .
Lee want to thank me for all the help that I have brought to the Etsy community. She decided to send me some t-shirts as a thank you! Little did she know.. I LOVE T-shirts...

When the package arrived I was super excited to find 11 shirts!!! Some are 70% bamboo and 30% organic cotton.. I love them!

I found about about ETSY from a customer at the Growers Market where I am a vendor. She happened to buy some yarn I had dyed with lichen, most of the items in her shop are created from lichens.

I opened my shop selling our handcrafted organic skin care products in the spring of this year. It has been a real learning experience. I thought people would just find us, but that has not been the case. I have been super busy promoting as much as I can and it has paid off.
