Good evening! Saw your twitter about this blog posting. My favorite Christmas Movie is A Christmas Story too! I'd never seen it until after my husband and I packed up and moved across country. I used our bedding and clothes to pack up our dishes, so most of our boxes were marked "Fragile." I didn't get it, why everyone who helped us load the truck kept saying "It must be from Italy!" and laughing.

Happy Holidays!

Fave Christmas movie is tough because they are all such treasures. "A Christmas Story" has to be the epitome though. There were just too many similarities to our real life holidays in that movie!

i have two favorites

1. The clay animated Rudolph movie thats older than I am. We always watched it at my Grandparents house when they were living. It was a tradition. We watched the movie then made Christmas cookies.

2. A Christmas Story -- the dad just cracks me up. And when the kid sticks his tongue to the flag pole thats just a classic.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my shop. Merry Christmas.

My favorite move for Christmas is The Nightmare Before Christmas, or is that more of a Halloween.

Unknown said...

I have many a favorite holiday movie! National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is a fave, as there are quite a few scenes we, as a family, can relate to. I have eyes of a child - and we have had a few Christmas Trees we had to bind up to get through double doors, as well as cut off 1 foot to get it in the stand! And yes, we trek through the Tree Farm in snow and cold to get the perfect tree! One year, hubby took along a collaspible tent pole, pulled it out of the car trunk, opened it up to about 6', smirked at me, and said -"The tree has to be ONLY this high!" (yeah, right!!)

Littlest Angel is another, as I also have a 'crooked halo'.

Although not usually considered a Christmas movie, I love to watch Lucille Ball in Aunt Mame. Of course, the reason is the delightful song "We Need a Little Christmas" sung when the characters have been knocked down again and again by hard times and they decide to throw off depression and look at the situation from a different angle. Certainly good advice for times like these.
