How did Etsy gain so many followers on Twitter?

If you are a follower of Etsy on Twitter you may have noticed a huge jump in their followers.

When you set up a new account on Twitter you are now prompted to follow 20 channels.. most are celebrities and other highly followed channels... Etsy has been added to one of these channels and their following is sky rocketing... Go Etsy!!!!

You can also write as many blog posts as you like and mark them on Social Bookmarking sites.

The 5 top promoters will be determined on April 30th. Each winner will receive a month ad space on Handmadeology.com worth $60.

I am looking for a few Etsy shops to critique. I will also be looking at their blogs and giving advice on some social marketing techniques. The critique will last about 30-45 mins via teleconference. The Etsy shops chosen will also receive a video critique, covering the info in the conference.
