Etsy Tip of the day ( Must Read Tips)

Have a personal story behind your shop or individual piece. If you have competitors on Etsy, which you probably do, having that personal story or write up may make you stand out! Tip by: Cyber Fiber

The biggest tip I can offer is to find a niche market. Specialize in a certain area and promote your store specifically for that product (or special technique, custom sizing, etc.)...streamline & focus :)
~Robbie Ruby Vegas

Don't be discouraged by people selling similar items to you. Keep working hard, it takes time for people to notice you are there. Also don't be discouraged when sales are low, it happens to everyone:) Tip by: Ambient Girl Designs : Blog

If possible, list one item daily and at different times of the day, rather than listing several items at once. If you have a large block of time to prepare listings, prepare the listing and do not click on the final FINISH button. Copy the URL for the almost finished listing and email it to yourself, or save it in a Word document. Then you only have to login to etsy, past the URL into your browser, and click FINISH. You can prepare several listings and post them all at different times during a day or week. This keeps you closer to the top in the categories.

Thanks so much Timothy and MF Vintage. That is some great advice, I never thought of that.
If I'm working on something and I have to slip away I usually just leave tabs open and come back to it. I think I'll do that with listings too.
Thanks!

Wow. I didn't know you could do that. That's great to know for my shop.

Wow! That's good to know. I thought once you closed a listing it was gone. It's nice to know you can almost finish it and save it for later. Thanks for the heads up.
