Some great tips here, Projectwonderful is a great way to get your Etsy shop seen.
Also try forums such as

Such great advice. I read this yesterday and got hooked in the critiques forum on etsy. Its kind of addicting but I had a ton of views on my stuff and a bunch of people marked me as a favorite! No sales yet but I know the extra exposure is definately going to help. Thanks so much.
I also decided to start my own blog on blogspot. We'll see how that goes.
PageRank seems so hard to improve, I've been working at it for about a year. Thanks for your blog though, I'll keep reading and maybe one day I'll be surprised at how well all your tips and tricks have worked! :)

Thank you for this very insightful and helpful post Timothy. I am working my way through it all and have already applied one or two tips and will certainly use more. Sadly, my windows of opportunity are so tiny due to motherhood and other RL commitments, that some of you advice, e.g. time on the forums is simply untenable. However, I do think I can improve sales by following much of your advice. I was going to give up on Etsy as I found relisting to be too expensive. However, I will give it another shot. I have question, do you think all this can be applied to my own shop on Zen Cart?
