New Artfire.com Kiosk App - Turn your Facebook Profile Into an Online Store
Buyers purchase right on Facebook with no sign-up, never leaving the page and completely SSL secure.
Tucson, AZ – ArtFire.com, the premier artisan community and home for handmade, vintage, authors and designers on the web, has taken Facebook applications to the next level with the launch of the ArtFire Facebook Kiosk. This new Facebook application will allow verified members to integrate their ArtFire Fusion studios with their Facebook profile and fan page to set up a fully functional studio storefront, and sell their items right from Facebook. This is a tool never before offered by any marketplace.
Similar to ArtFire’s RapidCart feature launched last spring, The Facebook Kiosk allows shoppers to browse and buy any item listed for sale in an ArtFire.com member’s studio without ever having to navigate to ArtFire.com. ArtFire members can sell remotely and offer their inventory to be posted on a new tab on their profile with just the click of a button. When Artfire.com users update their items on ArtFire, their Facebook Kiosk will also update in real time to reflect edits, changes, prices and sales.
Like all purchases on ArtFire, shoppers buying through the Facebook Kiosk can choose to pay using a credit card, PayPal, Google Checkout, Revolution Money Exchange, check, or money order based upon the seller’s preference. All transactions are secured by 256 bit high-grade encryption, so sales made through the Facebook Kiosk are completely protected. This feature also supports Non-Account Checkout, so buyers don’t need to sign up for an account on ArtFire to purchase an item off the Kiosk. Learn more about Kiosk here.
“The Facebook Kiosk will give our verified members the chance to get their items in front of the largest community on the web,” said John Jacobs, President of ArtFire.com. “This feature not only provides additional exposure and sales for sellers, it will also inform Facebook users about ArtFire and the millions of artistic entrepreneurs in time for the holiday shopping season.”
“No other marketplace has ever offered a tool like this before,” said Tony Ford, COO of ArtFire.com. “We are very excited to be able to use the Artfire.com engine to supercharge artisan, author, supplier, and vintage sellers’ sales online via their built-in Facebook networks and audience.”

I am so late in setting up FaceBook with being so apprehensive of techno things. This was the incentive I needed. How fantastic to have ArtFire on there.
Thanks so much.
See me soon.
Etsy are late late late and lagging behind.
Laglass, the computer world, for example Facebook, is not 'techno.'
One merely needs to be able to read, click a mouse, and follow a recipe. One finger typing helps :)
Be encouraged, banish fear!
this is GREAT! i was thinking about opening an artfire acct, but wasn't sure, definitely going to give it a try now!
