Product test 2 2008

Here are some of the options that are going to be available to you as a product tester. I will be adding more colors in the next few weeks. I will also be adding a plain metal necklace.
Some of these are available in my shop right now, but as a product tester i will be offering them to you at a fraction of the normal cost . You can read about the first product launch in HERE. Find out how Martha Stewart was even involved!!!

These necklaces are running from $36-$40 in my shop.. How much would you like to see these discounted as a product tester?

Being a usability person. I impressed that you are product testing your art. Do you have formal feedback parameters that you looking for or as a product testing you looking for just a freeform experience testimonal.

regarding price. Depends on what is the cost of materials and time to make them. so half of retail price? hard to judge without knowing what the mark up is.

1/3 to 1/2 off normal price listing depending on costs and time. I agree with pb what's the buyer's job as a tester?

I would have to agree 1/2 off retail.

and I would love to know more about becoming one of the testers.

I think 1/2 off would be a reasonable discount in exchange for feedback. Will you have a set outline of the feedback you're interested in? I would report back the comfort and feel of the piece, the comments/attention it provokes, and the number of inquiries about where one can get their very own... I love the lime drop. Sign me up, Tim! ~eeek

What is the criteria you would base the 'test' on...wearability, colour, comfort, design, etc?? Just not sure what you hope it will resolve. As far as the discount, I agree that 1/3 - 1/2 off.

Funny pb, I've also done usability testing as part of my work, so my questions ended up being the same as yours...

I think 1/2 off would be fair in exchange for feedback--but you may want to think about more specific feedback--I did some market research/testing with my cat tags (I just gave them out for free) and I'm still working on honing down on the results of that--if you'd like any specific ideas on the kinds of questions that ended up being most useful I'm happy to share them, or even to come up with something for you in exchange for an extra discount, assuming you'd be interested in having me as a product tester in the first place ;)

I also agree with 1/2 but you still need to take into consideration how much time and materials your are putting into it.
Good luck Tim!
